Back from the dead, Rat Attack return with a blistering new EP after a 10-year hiatus. Fusing 90’s punk influences with a modern heavy edge and a refreshed line-up, the band are ready to reintroduce their sweat-and-beer-soaked brand of punk rock to the masses.

Having torn up stages at Reading & Leeds, Download, Warped Tour, 2000 Trees, Hit the Deck, Boardmasters and more, Rat Attack have shared bills with The Pretty Reckless, H₂O, Neck Deep, Bane, We Are The Ocean, Terror, DZ Deathrays, Lower Than Atlantis, Ghost of a Thousand, Mallory Knox and countless others.

Their self-released debut EP gained constant airplay from BBC Radio 1 and XFM, championed by Daniel P Carter, Mike Davies, Zane Lowe, Alice Levine, and more — culminating in two BBC Radio 1 Maida Vale live sessions. The band went on to tour Europe three times, clocking up over 400 live shows, before splitting at the cusp of wider success.

Now, with sharpened focus and new blood in the ranks, Rat Attack are back — wiser, tighter, and more ferocious than ever. Original members Michael Hodges, Charlie Wesson, and Dan Wilson are joined by two fresh faces: Simon Marsh (ex-NoComply, Crazy Arm), a powerhouse drummer with years of touring and recording experience, and Josh Bessant (frontman of Crooked Little Sons), who brings his trademark punk rock ’n’ roll energy to the fold. Together, they’ve reignited the fire at the heart of Rat Attack, forging a sound that feels both familiar and evolved.

The new 5-track EP — recorded live straight to tape at Middle Farm Studios with producer Peter Miles — marks the first chapter of their comeback, packed with hooks for days and riffs you won’t be able to shake. EP Part Two is already lined up for recording in September 2025.
